[Community_garden] Community Garden Coordinator Position Available in Boulder, CO

Hi Everyone,

Growing Gardens, a non-profit in Boulder, CO whose mission is to create community through gardening, is looking to fill our Community Garden Coordinator Position. The position begins in January, is a year round position at 30 hours per week, $13 per hour. The duties include coordinating the rental and management of 8 community gardens in Boulder County. This includes managing the registration of garden plot, conducting gardener orientation sessions, creating monthly newsletters, coordinating spring and fall compost sales, establishing and managing garden leader committees and ongoing review of plot upkeep and maintenance at each garden site. 
Qualifications Include:
o    Prior experience managing groups of people.
o    Experience gardening in Colorado and some experience as a participant in a Community Garden Program preferred.
o    Willingness to work with a wide variety of people with patience and compassion. Non-violent communication skills preferred.
o    Applicant must be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
o    Computer skills required. Specifically Excel, Word, and Access.
