[Community_garden] Farm Bill - School Garden Amendment

Dear ACGA Members,

The National Gardening Association adds its voice to those of the 
Vermont Community Garden Network and California School Garden Network in 
supporting Senator Bernie Sanders' amendment in the Farm Bill to 
authorize $10,000,000 to establish a pilot program for community school 
gardens. We now have an Action Alert posted at 
http://www.kidsgardening.org urging our visitors to contact and 
encourage their representatives to support this progressive approach to 
fighting hunger and improving the health of children and their families. 
How appropriate that this should come up during the holiday season, and 
what a gift it would be to millions of people...let's rally support in 
every state to help make it happen!
