Thanks, Mike!

I'm sending out the 9 Rules and the link to the book on both my garden list
and a pet blog where I first got the "How to Effect Change" article.

Might as well be enlightened in the New Year! ;-D

Thanks so much!

Subject: [Community_garden] The Winning Strategy

My copy of The Book of Five Rings opens with the following, which doesn't
seem to appear in the actual text and, in the few cases I found referenced
online, is translated very differently by others. I find these nine 'rules'
of the great Musashi to be as or more important than the entire rest of the
book:

1. Do not harbor sinister designs.
2. Diligently pursue the Path of Two Swords as One.
3. Cultivate a wide range of interests in the arts.
4. Be knowledgeable in a variety of occupations.
5. Be discrete regarding your commercial dealings.
6. Nature the ability to perceive the truth in all matters.
7. Perceive that which cannot be seen with the eye.
8. Do not be negligent, even in trifling matters.
9. Do not engage in useless activity.
