Dear friendly Gardeners,

My name is Pete Rasmussen and I am a young farmer in northern Utah. I have
a dream of traveling to Cuba to learn about how their island communities
have addressed the challenges of creating a locally-based sustainable food
system.

I am writing to ask for assistance in identifying ways to learn, record
and share the experience of community-based urban agriculture in Cuba.

March and April of 2007 are open months for me to travel to Cuba. I have
skills as a writer, photographer and vegetable farmer, and I would greatly
appreciate any suggestions on how, where and when I may find opportunities
in Cuba in which I may utilize these interests and skills.  I also speak
conversational Espanol.
