[Community_garden] question on organizing volunteers and maintenance

[Americorps VISTA]

Hi,

We're a new garden mostly consisting of elementary school families, only
about a dozen right now.
What do people have in place for general up-keep, daily visits, emergency
maintenance, taking care of compost, watering communal areas and so on?
 This conversation is taking place with all the families that are in the
garden but we wanted some models and advice to bring to our discussion.
