[Community_garden] calcium carbonate

[Paul Buechler]

Is calcium carbonate the same as lime? I raise earthworms and was told that a little calcium carbonate would reduce 
Fruit flies. If it gets rid of fruit flies will it harm the earthworms?
Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.
