[Community_garden] Fruit Flies in Worm Bins

Hi, Folks!

I'm getting lots of direct e-mails suggesting that I either freeze or nuke
the banana peels before putting them in the worm bin.

I suspect those fruit fly eggs can handle cold, so I may try the suggestion
that I nuke the banana peels in the microwave on HIGH for 15 seconds. The
house will smell a little funny, but the fruit flies should be toast! ;-)

Thanks for the suggestions -- although my roses will probably miss their
banana peel fix!
