Community Garden Spring Resource Fair

March 17th, 9am-2pm.

Augsburg College, Christensen Center, 

720 22nd Avenue South, Minneapolis

 

Bring your Green Thumb out on this ‘Green Day’!  

 

Workshops, exhibitors, activities for the kids; topics include chickens in the city, seed saving, gardening tips and techniques, organizing community volunteers, peace pole project, the Community Garden Network Neighborhood and advice from vermiculture and composting gurus!  Free parking and entry!

 

*	Chef Seth Bixby Daugherty (2005 James Beard Winner) will speak about his work on authentic eating in schools and beyond.  

 

*	Do you have photos, manuals or brochures of your community garden that you would like to share?  Bring them to display at the Community Garden Network Neighborhood.

 

*	Got good tools going unused?  Bring them to the Fair for a garden in need.  Receipts available on site for this tax-deductible donation.   

 

*	Raffle prizes, music and food top off the fun!
