[Community_garden] Community-initiated green/open space creation using ecological principles

Hello,

I am writing to ask if anyone knows of projects in the early stages that 
meet the following criteria:

1. green/open space project
2. located in an urban neighborhood
3. initiated by a community group
4. community is very involved in planning and the physical development 
of the project
5. the project is environmental/ecological, for example example: bird 
preserve, "green street" (stormwater management), woodland restoration

I am deeply appreciative of your help.
