Hello all,
 
I recently rejoined the list, just in the midst of this thread about 
Burpee being bought out by Seminis.  I was concerned and curious, so I 
Googled and could find no news releases about it, which seemed odd 
given Burpee's prominence. 
 
So I e-mailed Burpee's customer service department, and they just sent 
me a reply, from Sue Petrei - SPetrei at burpee.com - denying it.   Here's 
her exact message:

"Burpee is a privately owned company and has not been sold to Monsanto."
