Here's One to Make us All Nuts:

I was wandering around Center City Philadelphia on Friday when I came
upon a vest pocket park. (It's on Addison St.) Lo and behold, one of
their flowering quinces was in full bloom, and the other one had
colored buds all set to pop.

So ... when to think about seed starting this year? I usually direct
seed cilantro during the January thaw and start onions and leeks
indoors in February. It has been warm enough in recent years to plant
peas, favas, spinach and radishes in late February, but geeze ...

I think I'll just pray for a hard freeze, and leave the seeds in the
fridge for the nonce.

Libby
