Youth gardening teachers' workshop available
A workshop for adults who work with children's or
youth gardening programs will be Feb. 3 in Oacoma. It
will be from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Oacoma
Community Center, 100 E. Third St. (south from Exit
260 of Interstate 90).

Anybody in South Dakota who is working with children
or youth gardening projects is invited, including
Master Gardeners, teachers, those providing 4-H or
after-school programs, workers in summer community
programs and those in tribal programs that teach
gardening.
Tim Kenny from the University of Minnesota Arboretum
will speak on "Growing Fun - Lessons from years of
experience with gardening programs."
Registration costs $35, if paid by Jan. 26, or $45
after that date. It includes lunch and materials. A
limited number of scholarships will be available by
