[Community_garden] Tobacco Mosaic Virus

Say, I know organic farmers who won't let smokers on the property,
hand-washing aside.  Although that bit of anecdotal trivia helps you not
in the least, I just feel like sharing.  One of these days I'm going to
look up the symptoms of TMV... I've not seen an actual confirmed
diagnosed case in person.

Hello community gardeners,
 
Does anyone have any knowledge where community gardens rules  prohibit
smoking in the immediate area of the gardens?
We have incorporated such a rule in our gardens to decrease  potential
damage from tobacco mosaic virus. Gardeners are required to leave  their
cigarettes outside the growing area. Are there any community gardens
that  have a similar rule?
