ACGA Directly Aids Members: Do you need a letter of support for your
community garden? Do you want to thank someone for supporting your community
garden? The Board of Directors of the American Community Gardening
Association is pleased to announce a campaign to directly help their
members! Were calling this a reactive/proactive support campaign for our
members.
Reactive Letters of Support are sent to a person or organization (such as a
landlord, city official, or neighbor) who has expressed negative sentiment
towards your garden and this sentiment might mean the demise of your garden
or, at least, the continued struggle for viability within your community.
Reactive letters of support can be sent to someone who is annoyed with your
activities or to someone who may want the land for more profitable
purposes, for example. Consider this tool if you are fighting for your
community gardens survival.
Email Amy DeShon today at adeshon at communitygarden.org if you would like a
Reactive Letter of Support. Be sure to provide Amy with the exact name and
address of the person to whom you want us to send a letter. We can also send
YOU a generalized letter "To Whom It May Concern" that you can copy and mail
to more than one person. Please note: we will not send out more than one
letter of support for you. If you need more than one letter, then request a
generalized letter and we will mail it to you. It will be your
responsibility to make copies of the letter and mail them to specific
people. Make as many copies of it as you need. Please be sure to write in
the subject line of your email: Reactive Letter of Support needed.
Proactive Letters of Support are sent to a person or organization (again,
such as a landlord, city official, or neighbor) who deserves your thanks.
They may have just signed a new lease with you, given you a grant, or voted
to support your garden, for example. Consider this tool if you want to do
everything you can to stay in your neighbors and communities good graces,
so to speak.
Email Amy DeShon today at adeshon at communitygarden.org if you would like a

address of the person to whom you want us to send a letter. We can also send
YOU a generalized letter "To Whom It May Concern" that you can copy and mail
to more than one person. Please note: we will not send out more than one
