[Community_garden] Table Gardening

First, I completely agree with Mike. Gardening inside treated lumber is
asking for trouble, and poison. I'd also wonder whether sealing is the best
route to go, wouldn't they need some kind of drainage so the plants in them
don't drown? Like my flower pots outside? If they have to be table gardens,
can you look into using wood with a longer lifespan like cedar, redwood, or
even oak? I'd even check into whether these leak any natural toxins before
using them to grow food. Can you make forms using that cement/peat mix they
use to make lightweight "fake" concrete planters? I once had a book with the
recipe for the material. This would make a nice lightweight planter box and
it would be easy to drill drainage holes in them too (or work these holes
into the "form" you use).
