Hypertufa. Last time I looked, recipes were all over the internet
(all a bit different, of course). The botanical garden at Tilden Park
in Berkeley has had several of these for years.
Hypertufa weighs less than concrete, but as I understand it, you do
still need to make forms (even if they are free-form forms), and if
you make large planters they can weigh a lot. Has anyone used this
material to make big planters for vegetables? If you've used
hypertufa, have you found a practical limit to the size?
