We're Ready to Celebrate!
"Celebrate Urban Birds!" officially launches this weekend with exciting events scheduled across the continent.
Thank you! We truly appreciate all your efforts, enthusiasm, and creativity.
Data Entry
The "Celebrate Urban Birds!" online data entry is now officially up and running. Please visit the website to try it out. It includes the same simple approach found on our scan-able forms as well as Google Maps and simple visualizations of bird sightings of all participant observations. If you are unfamiliar with Google Maps, please make sure that you view the video tutorial available on the instructions page. Don't forget, when you watch birds, to take the paper data form available in your kit, or downloaded from the website, to record your observations. When you get back to your computer, you'll have all of the information ready to enter into the online data entry system.
If you can, we'd love for you to submit your data online! You can conduct a bird watch on any day you choose during the spring, summer, and fall months. With your help--people of all ages and bird watching abilities working together--this could be the largest urban bird monitoring conservation effort ever.
Share your Celebration
Enjoy your celebrations and don't forget to send us your photos and descriptions of your events and experiences. We'd like to share your stories with others on our web site and in Lab of Ornithology publications.
Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
The Urban Bird Studies Team
