Hi Tacoma -

I am not sure how we compare to Tacoma in population etc, but Madison,
Wisconsin has thriving community gardens. There are 31 gardens,
including Eagle Heights which we think is the largest community garden
in the country in terms of numbers - with 400+ families gardening. In
2002 we had about 1050 families with garden plots in Madison, and this
year there are about 1575 families (and this doesn't count families who
share a plot - just the person who signs up). A lot of growth!! Check
out our website below for more info.

Thanks,

Janet Parker
