[Community_garden] Letter of Support

Hello!

The American Community Gardening Association is pleased to offer its members
a letter of recommendation, an advocacy letter, a letter of support. These
can be tailored to fit the situation but typically we write two different
types of letters.

One, we call a Proactive Letter of Support. Ask for this type if you want to
obtain a grant, thank someone for supporting you, or, say, expand your
operation and need someone's support in order to make it happen.

Two, we call a Reactive Letter of Support. Ask for this type if you need to
persuade someone to support you who has not supported you thus far (i.e..,
has come out and said "community gardens are awful..." or some such silly
thing...)

ACGA will need to know the following information in order to write this
letter.
1. The name of the garden or project
2. Briefly, what's happening (i.e.., your writing a grant for a new watering
system and want a letter of support or this city is trying to close us down)
3. To whom do we address the letter?
4. Where do we send the letter (i.e., we can .pdf the letter to YOU, mail it
to you, and/or mail it to THEM)

Please give the office as much time to do this for you as possible. We've
been known to do them as fast as 24 hours but that's asking a lot... k?
