[Community_garden] starting a rural community garden

Hi,
 
My name is Brian and I have an interest in starting a community garden on my 
families farm.  It is a rural location, however, as with most areas, there is 
an increasing amount of housing and people moving into the area.  I was 
wondering if anyone could give me some input on whether or not this could be a 
successful idea and how to go about pursuing it.  Thanks for your time.
