[Community_garden] Commie Finks maybe--but NEVER passe!

On a totally more serious note, you might want to consider the idea of
Community Supported Agriculture and spin the basic concept for your
purposes. In the case of CSAs, families support a particular farmer who
produces everything the families need.
Your idea would have real merit if you carefully consider what crops each of
you produce. The problem is, say, someone might want to grow all squash. All
the other families agree. What would happen if that plot got infested with
squash bugs and the whole crop is ruined? How would the rest of the families
handle this? This is the "ethics" of idea.
As to the "biology" of the idea: perhaps each family could decide to plant
crops that benefit symbiotically to protect against crop failure?
Sincerely,

And you're growing, what?
PINK tomatoes?
Or are they REDS?
Oh, and the heirlooms. Would they include Arkansas--or is that "fellow"
Traveler?
