Looking into water techniques for a few new apple trees I planted. Wondering if anyone has any opinion on the PVC tube technique, and the other - a cardboard tube filled with gravel, the cardboard decomposes and you still have a drain hole of gravel to water deep, there is also the "tree I.V." that uses slow drip tube spikes in the ground that you fit a 5 gallon bucket over and it and fill the bucket. If get really dry here in Arkansas in July & Aug and want them to make it. Thanks for any and all input.
