The latest edition of our Friends of Troy Gardens free email newsletter went
out today. You can view it on our website at
http://www.troygardens.org/newsletters/08-04.html. This edition of our
newsletter highlights SPIN (S-mall P-lot IN-tensive) Farming (you won't want
to miss this!), Your Backyard Farmer (Portland, OR), global warming's effect
on drying up Lake Mead (a major water supply in the Southwest USA), and two
articles on the connection between peak oil and our food supply.

We strive to bring you important, timely information about urban
agriculture, energy issues, sustainable practices, and more while always
cognizant of our world on the brink of oil depletion. Our organization,
<http://www.troygardens.org/> Friends of Troy Gardens, provides an
opportunity for people to grow their own food locally in our community
gardens or purchase locally produced food from our organic farm. A unique
aspect of our program is the additional stewardship of prairie and forest
lands. We also educate children and adults about how to grow food and eat
nutritionally.

If you aren't on our newsletter recipient list, I encourage you to sign up
at <http://www.friendsoftroygardens.org/sutoouremne.html>
http://www.friendsoftroygardens.org/sutoouremne.html. (Our previous
newsletters are also archived at this link.) I think you will find our
newsletters interesting, informative, and professional. If you should ever
want to unsubscribe, it is easy to do with the click of your mouse on the
SafeUnsubscribe link at the bottom of each newsletter.
