[Community_garden] garden style query

Greetings, growers!
I am seeking information from others who have established a "co-op" style of community garden.  We are just starting up a community garden in a small city (South Bend, IN) and are meeting later this month to determine how we will organize it.  All individual plots?  Some shared space plus individual plots?  All shared space?  There are pros and cons to both, and while I am familiar with setting up and participating in one that is all individual spaces, I (and at least half of the gardeners for this season) am interested in the possibility of doing one that is a 'co-op' of sorts.
