[Community_garden] CG and property values

The NYU paper that Cordalie mentioned about how community gardens increase property values is indeed great, and it's available on the ACGA website at http://www.communitygarden.org/learn/resources/research.php
The study of 636 NYC community gardens shows a statistically significant and increasing over time, positive effect on sales prices of residential properties within a 1000 foot radius of a community garden when compared to properties outside the 1000 foot ring but still with in the same neighborhood. The net tax benefit over a 20 year period to the city is estimated at 647 million dollars or $1 million per garden.
