In case anyone is interested in the details of HR 6049:

James Godsil <godsil.james at gmail.com> wrote: Dear All,
Why does not Thomas Friedman embrace our movement? How could he not
understand the enormous energy saving implication of millions of people
composting, growing great soil and food in backyards, roof top farms, and
community gardens?
I can understand why Obama has yet to "get it." He does not have much time
to read Michael Pollan.
But Friedman takes time to read things.
Here is his call this week for extending the The Renewable Energy and Job
Creation Act of 2008.
That bill is H.R. 6049 "The Renewable Energy and Job Creation Act of
2008," which extends for another eight years the investment tax credit for
installing solar energy and extends for one year the production tax credit
for producing wind power and for three years the credits for geothermal,
wave energy and other renewables.
How about renewable food gardens!
I don't know how to lobby Friedman. I could not find any e-mail address we
might blitz.
Any "idears?"
Perfect Summer Sunday Morning
