Subject: [bridgeportgardenerscoalition] Question on watering the garden plants with plastic bottles.
I read somewhere someone was watering their plants with a soda
bottle in the ground next to the plant and as the ground got dry the
water would replenish. Is there anyone who uses this method and would
you leave the cap off of the cut bottles or cut holes in the caps so
not too much water spills out? I have enough bottles for each one but
would it be easier to just water them with a hose? I heard a drop of
oil in the containers keeps the mosquitoes from nesting in there and
wetting the leaves is not the best for the plants....Can anyone advice
please? Thank you for anyone who can help .
Happy gardening to you all!
