[Community_garden] SAVE THE DATE: Rooted In Community Conference 2008

Conference Announcement:

The Rooted In Community Conference is back for the 10th year!! (ACGA was a
founder of RIC.)  The RIC Conference is an opportunity for young people
involved in agriculture and food justice to lead workshops and learn from
others doing similar work across the country. The engaging youth leadership
opportunity will be taking place in the San Francisco Bay Area where adults
and youth from around the country gather for fun workshops, fieldtrips and
community building activities. 

As a youth leadership organization and/or previous RIC participant, we
thought you would be interested to learn about the upcoming conference.
Please be sure to reserve the dates: July 23-July 27, 2008. Begin
brainstorming about fundraising opportunities to make sure your organization
can bring youth to participate, engage in workshop development and have fun
as they learn more about the strength of their voice in issues important to
your community. 

Look for more information in May, including: registration details, travel
info, accommodations, programming schedule and conference fees (TBD, but
slightly increased from last years fees of $150/youth and $200/adult). For

We encourage you to add or update your organizations info on the site.    

***Please send a reply to: info at rootedincommunity.org  if you/your
organization plans to attend and let us know how many youth and adults you
would like to bring (target youth/adult ratio is 3:1)
