Sorry to be so tardy on these replies, heavy spring snows have interrupted
internet services on and off all day up here!
Lets see, maybe I can address all at once.
In honor of Earth Day, I am trying to use a recycled product, as to the
who...I am writting a grant application for several, in fact any, company who may
donate. I didn't get a lot of luck last year with the corporate end of Trex,
said they'd get back to me, but never did. Home Depot and Lowe's however,
have been pretty good about funding community projects. (They only carry the
Trex out here), GivenTrees doesn't have a 501 (c) 3...YET....we're working
on it; but the civic association where I planned a community garden does.
Through that end, I am trying to make this project happen with as much appeal
to as many as possible, organic, recycled, community project, where youth meet
and assist there elders and those less fortunate. All the recycle wood
available to me, has been so full of rusty nails, and seeing how kids will be
working with this materials, all I could see there was liability issues.
Mike, wasn't the Trex material cleared for organics? Thought I recalled
ready something to that affect from Organic Gardening maybe a year or two ago.
Thanks
