[Community_garden] Trex or other building material

Sorry to be so tardy on these replies, heavy spring snows have interrupted 
internet services on and  off all day up here!  
Lets see, maybe I can address all at once.  
In honor of Earth Day, I am trying to use a recycled product, as to the 
who...I am writting a grant application for several, in  fact any, company who may 
donate.  I didn't get a lot of luck last year  with the corporate end of Trex, 
said they'd get back to me, but never did.   Home Depot and Lowe's however, 
have been pretty good about funding community  projects. (They only carry the 
Trex out  here),   GivenTrees doesn't have a 501 (c)  3...YET....we're working 
on it; but the civic   association where I planned a community garden does. 
Through that end, I am  trying to make this project happen with as much appeal 
to as many as possible,  organic, recycled, community project, where youth meet 
and assist there elders  and those less fortunate.  All the recycle wood 
available to me, has been  so full of rusty nails, and seeing how kids will be 
working with this materials,  all I could see there was liability issues.  
Mike, wasn't the Trex material cleared for organics?   Thought I recalled 
ready something to that affect from Organic Gardening maybe a  year or two ago.
